Zelenskyy says shooting between SBU and HUR in Kyiv is under investigation
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that an internal investigation must establish the causes of the conflict between the Security Service of Ukraine and the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Defense Ministry, which escalated into a shooting in Kyiv. Three HUR representatives were injured in the incident.
Clash after search
As The Jerusalem Post reports, the clash occurred in central Kyiv on Tuesday after a search of the home of a Russian nationalist activist fighting alongside Ukrainian forces. Before that, the activist had disappeared for nine days.
According to the activist, SBU officers detained him and forced him to sign a confession of cooperating with Russian intelligence, that of the aggressor state. He later withdrew the confession. The outlet writes that during the street clash, SBU officers opened fire on members of a HUR unit.

Internal investigation

According to the president, the results of the internal investigation will provide an assessment of the heads of the SBU and HUR. He also stated that both sides must be held accountable. In addition, Zelenskyy dismissed Oleh Khramov, head of the SBU department for the protection of state secrets.
