Zelenskyy Urged People Not to Approach Windows Due to New Russian Drone Tactics – WSJ

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged Ukrainians to strictly follow safety rules and avoid going near windows and balconies during air raid alerts, as the occupiers are employing a new tactic involving drones capable of flying into buildings and waiting for people to appear.

The head of state made these remarks in an interview with The Wall Street Journal during the UN General Assembly in New York. According to him, Russia is already testing new technologies during attacks on Ukraine, which is linked to technical improvements in drones and deepening cooperation between the enemy and China.

Whereas previously most drones followed pre-programmed coordinates, the occupiers are now increasingly using drones equipped with artificial intelligence, direct control by operators, and the ability to re-target in real time.

“A drone flies into a house through a window, hovers inside and waits for people, and then attacks when they enter,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
