On July 12, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with government officials, after which he heard a report from Serhiy Koretskyi, CEO of Naftogaz. The parties discussed the current situation and issues related to the energy sector.

“Serhiy Koretskyi’s report. I am grateful for his effective leadership of Ukraine’s strategic state-owned companies—Ukrnafta and Naftogaz.  This is an extremely complex field with many overlapping interests, and it is important that Serhiy ensured that Ukraine’s national interests were upheld in the activities of these companies. Both Ukrnafta and Naftogaz have achieved the targeted national performance indicators,” the statement reads.

Zelenskyy added: “There are now new challenges due to Russian attacks, particularly on energy infrastructure in border and frontline regions, as well as attacks on gas stations and other facilities. Today we discussed what steps our country needs to take to ensure Ukraine’s greater resilience and achieve specific results within the framework of our country’s updated political strategy.”

As a reminder, the Verkhovna Rada has named potential candidates for the position of prime minister.

On July 12, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced preparations for personnel changes in the Cabinet of Ministers and the leadership of law enforcement agencies, which are intended to ensure the implementation of the country’s updated political strategy.

Earlier, Svyrydenko denied rumors about the dismissal of Education Minister Lisovyi.
