The Ukrainian Armed Forces Will Receive Autonomous Drone Defense Systems for Their Equipment

The Ukrainian military will receive a new autonomous system to protect armored vehicles from attack drones.

According to Andriy Lebedenko, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, engineers have been working on its development for about two years.

The first prototypes have already been built and, according to the general, are capable of protecting tanks, armored personnel carriers, and other military vehicles from attacks by attack drones. Detailed specifications of the system have not yet been disclosed.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces emphasize that the introduction of this protection should increase the survivability of armored vehicles and significantly enhance the maneuverability of Ukrainian units on the battlefield.
