The Ukrainian Armed Forces demonstrated the Rapid Ranger mobile air defense system mounted on a URO VAMTAC off-road vehicle
Soldiers from the 1030th “Aquila” Anti-Aircraft Missile and Artillery Regiment, part of the Third Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, have released the first photographs of the anti-aircraftRapid Ranger anti-aircraft missile system mounted on a Spanish URO VAMTAC tactical off-road vehicle.
The lightweight, modular system, weighing 500 kg, allows the vehicle to reach speeds of up to 135 km/h, ensuring high mobility and rapid changes in firing positions.
The system’s primary armament consists of LMM Martlet multi-purpose missiles with a range of up to 7 km and a speed of up to 1,800 km/h, as well as an optoelectronic system providing 360-degree panoramic surveillance. Thanks to its laser guidance system, the Rapid Ranger is capable of effectively destroying targets with a low thermal signature—including Russian reconnaissance drones—as well as countering targets that employ thermal decoys.

The Ministry of Defense has codified and authorized the use of the new Ukrainian-made B-1 unmanned aerial vehicle system by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These ultra-light bombers are designed to strike concentrations of personnel, vehicles, and armored equipment.
