Throughout September 17, Russian forces attacked populated areas in the Kherson region using various types of weapons. As a result of the shelling, one person was killed and four others were wounded. According to the agency, as of 5:30 p.m., one fatality and four injuries had been reported.
A Russian drone killed a man on a moped
One of the most severe attacks occurred around 4:10 p.m. in the village of Ingulets. Russian forces attacked a 64-year-old man with a drone while he was riding a moped. The man sustained severe injuries from the strike and died at the scene. Four other people were injured in Russian attacks across various parts of the region.
Two residents of Kherson were wounded by Russian drone strikes. Another person was injured in a drone attack in the village of Mykilsk. Additionally, near the village of Davydiv Brid, a person was wounded by a mine explosion.
Damaged cars and a store
Russian attacks also caused damage to civilian infrastructure. According to the prosecutor’s office, a store, a truck, and a passenger car were damaged in the region. Throughout the day, Russian forces struck settlements in the Kherson region with artillery, mortars, and various types of drones.
The prosecutor’s office noted that a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the Russian attacks. Law enforcement officials are treating these shellings as possible war crimes. The investigation is being conducted under Parts 1 and 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to war crimes. Law enforcement officials continue to document the consequences of the Russian attacks in the Kherson region and gather evidence for a further legal assessment of the actions of the Russian military. On the morning of September 17, Russian troops struck the “Epicenter” shopping center in Kharkiv. As a result of the attack, the building sustained significant damage and caught fire.
The enemy attacked a passenger bus in the Kosmichny district of Zaporizhzhia using an FPV drone. At the time of the attack, there were people inside the bus who were traveling on their own business.
