In Zaporizhzhia, the number of people injured as a result of a Russian FPV drone attack on a passenger bus has risen. Eight people are currently known to have been injured—four men and four women. All of them are receiving the necessary medical care.

 

Russian troops attacked a passenger bus in Zaporizhzhia with an FPV drone. Eight people were injured as a result of the strike. This was reported on the evening of September 17 by Mykhailo Semikin, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

According to him, the injured include four men and four women. “The most important thing right now is their condition. Everyone is receiving the necessary medical care,” Semikin noted. The head of the Regional Military Administration has not yet provided further details on the condition of the victims. Nor has it been officially specified how serious their injuries are.

Initial reports mentioned five victims

News of the attack emerged earlier that same evening. At that time, Semikin reported that Russian forces had directed an FPV drone at a passenger bus in Zaporizhzhia. The attack took place in the city’s Kosmichnyi district. Initially, five people were reported injured. Later, the number of people injured in the strike rose to eight. Thus, after the information was clarified, it became known that there were three additional victims.

What is known about the attack

Russian forces have recently been actively using FPV drones to strike Zaporizhzhia and other settlements in the region. Such drones can attack moving vehicles, civilian facilities, and people. This time, a passenger bus was specifically targeted. People were inside the bus at the time of the attack, resulting in civilian injuries.

After the attack, the victims were handed over to medical personnel. They are currently receiving treatment at medical facilities. Authorities are continuing to gather details on the consequences of the Russian strike. Information regarding the condition of the victims may change following medical examinations. Zaporizhzhia and the region regularly suffer from Russian shelling and drone attacks. These strikes damage residential buildings, businesses, transportation, and other civilian infrastructure, and civilians are injured. On the morning of September 17, Russian troops struck the “Epicenter” shopping center in Kharkiv. As a result of the attack, the building sustained significant damage and caught fire.

The enemy attacked a passenger bus in the Kosmichny district of Zaporizhzhia using an FPV drone. At the time of the attack, there were people inside the bus who were traveling on their daily errands.
