Tomorrow, June 3, 2026, a day of mourning has been declared in Dnipro for those killed in the brutal Russian shelling.
The death toll from the massive strike on the city has risen to 12, including two young children and a rescue worker.
Rescue teams continue to clear debris in residential areas and search for people who have not yet been able to contact their families.
The city’s mayor noted that the scale of the tragedy requires a citywide commemoration of the victims.
“Although the search and rescue operation is still ongoing, a day of mourning has been declared in Dnipro for tomorrow,” emphasized Boris Filatov.
Journalists and relevant municipal services continue to identify the citizens whose lives were cut short by yet another terrorist act by the Russian Federation.
According to local media reports, Natalia Kotenkova, an employee of the municipal utility “Teploenergo,” was killed during the nighttime attack on Dnipro. Her mangled body was recovered from under the rubble of one of the buildings.

Colleagues remember her as a highly skilled professional who dedicated more than two decades of her life to working for the good of the city.
Kotenkova worked in the heating sector for over 20 years, rising from a heating system controller to a heat energy sales specialist at the Customer Service Center. She was 45 years old.
Mayor Boris Filatov officially announced the decision on his Telegram channel.
