52 attacks in a single day, with the heaviest fighting in the Pokrovsk direction

Since the start of the day, the Russian army has attacked Ukrainian military positions 52 times. The heaviest pressure is on the Pokrovsk direction, where fighting continues. Enemy activity is also high in the Kostyantynivka and Huliaipole directions. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

The situation is currently most tense in the Pokrovsk direction. There, the Russians have already attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses 17 times. Fighting is taking place in the areas of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Udachne, and other settlements. Some of the clashes are still ongoing.

The enemy is also actively operating in the Kostyantynivka sector. Thirteen attacks have been recorded here. Russian units advanced near Kostyantynivka, Ivanopil, Stepanivka, and several other settlements. Some battles are also ongoing.

In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian forces repelled eight attacks. Two more clashes are ongoing. Russian aircraft struck the area around Tsvitkove.

Border areas came under fire. Artillery struck settlements in the Sumy region—specifically Rogizne, Bachivsk, Iskryskivshchyna, and other villages. Shelling of Krasnyi Khutir in the Chernihiv region was also recorded.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, the Russians attacked Ukrainian forces’ positions three times. There, they also used aerial bombs and shelled the area dozens of times, including with rocket systems.

Four attempts at an offensive took place in the Kupiansk direction. Some of the fighting is still ongoing. In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repelled an attack near Karmazynivka. Meanwhile, there was no active combat today in the Sloviansk and Kramatorsk directions.

In other sectors of the front, the situation remains largely unchanged. Specifically, no offensives were recorded in the Orikhiv sector, but Russian aircraft struck Orikhiv. In the Dnipro sector, the enemy made one unsuccessful assault attempt near the Antonivsky Bridge.

The General Staff emphasizes that Ukrainian forces continue to repel the offensive and wear down the enemy. “The Ukrainian military is wearing down the enemy along the entire line of contact and in the rear,” the report noted.

Claims of a partial encirclement of Sumy or a critical deterioration of the situation in the region do not correspond to reality and are not confirmed by the map of hostilities. This was officially announced by Viktor Tregubov, spokesperson for the Joint Forces Operation, while commenting on alarming reports that began circulating online.

Over the past few days, the Russian army has carried out several platoon-level assaults in three regions of Ukraine. However, these attacks are unlikely to significantly affect the course of the occupiers’ spring-summer offensive in 2026.
