Airstrikes destroyed residential areas in Druzhkivka
Russian forces launched a massive attack on the city of Druzhkivka in the Donetsk region, dropping nine aerial bombs on residential neighborhoods.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
An elderly woman was killed in the attack, and another man was injured.
The tragedy occurred in a residential area of the city, where civilians were caught in the crossfire.
The deceased woman, born in 1954, was at the epicenter of the strikes, while rescuers promptly provided first aid to the injured man, born in 1951.
The extent of the damage in the residential area is significant. Twelve private homes, a farm building, and a local infrastructure facility were damaged, which significantly disrupts daily life in the area.
Two fires broke out immediately at the sites where the aerial bombs struck. The fire engulfed structural elements of the outbuilding and residents’ personal belongings, destroying the remaining property.
Firefighters who responded to the call were able to contain the fire over a total area of 121 square meters. The rescuers’ work was extremely dangerous due to the need to constantly monitor the sky and the threat of new strikes.
As a reminder, Russian troops carried out another combined attack on Ukraine, using strike drones and cruise missiles.
Russia also attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 20 times, injuring a woman.
