Soldiers from the 125th Brigade rescued an injured girl following a double strike by Russia on Balakliya

Servicemen from the 125th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade rescued a 20-year-old woman who was seriously wounded during a double missile strike by Russian forces on Balakliya in the Kharkiv region.

After the first explosion, Rimma, a student at Kharkiv University, was locking up the room where she worked when the second strike occurred. She sustained a through-and-through shrapnel wound to her shoulder and a laceration to her leg.

Soldiers with the call signs “Goga” and “Odessa” were nearby. Despite suffering concussions from the explosion, they carried the young woman to safety, stopped the bleeding, and provided first aid until medical personnel arrived. About ten minutes passed between the second strike and the handoff of the victim to the ambulance crew.

The girl is currently in the hospital and has already undergone her first surgery. She still faces another surgical procedure and a long rehabilitation process.

As a reminder, on Friday, August 7, in Dnipro, a World Health Organization humanitarian warehouse was destroyed as a result of an attack. There were no people on the premises at the time of the strike, and no casualties were reported.

Over the past 24 hours, the occupiers lost 1,130 troops and more than 400 pieces of military equipment.
