Ukrainian drones struck air defense systems near Putin's residence outside Gelendzhik

Ukrainian forces carried out several strikes against Russian air defense and electronic warfare systems in the Gelendzhik area, where Vladimir Putin’s well-known residence is located.

According to Russian media reports, the “Khvylia Kupol Garant” electronic warfare system was struck on August 7, and an S-400 anti-aircraft missile system was struck on August 9.

It is reported that after the electronic warfare system was destroyed, Ukrainian drones were able to attack the S-400, located approximately 500 meters away. According to Robert Brovdi (“Madyar”), commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces, the system was struck on the night of August 9; it had fired six missiles during the attack.

Military analyst Yan Matveev, citing satellite imagery, claims that at least one S-400 launcher was destroyed, and the fire following the strike lasted about three hours.

Putin’s residence is located approximately 20 km from Gelendzhik on the Black Sea coast. The area surrounding the facility is under heavy security and is a no-fly zone.

Over the past 24 hours, the occupiers lost 1,130 troops and more than 400 pieces of military equipment.
