Soldiers from the 66th Mechanized Brigade reported that they had killed a 61-year-old mercenary from Peru
On July 9, servicemen of the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Mstislav the Brave reported the elimination of a 61-year-old Peruvian citizen who was fighting as part of the Russian occupation forces. According to Ukrainian military officials, they have recently observed an increase in the number of foreign mercenaries in the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces.
As noted by the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade, fighters from the 3rd Mechanized Battalion “Fireflies” killed 60-year-old Peruvian Walter-Vicente, who, according to their information, was less than five months shy of his 61st birthday.
The brigade also published photographs of his documents and claims that the mercenary did not speak Russian and used short cheat sheets to communicate.
In addition, Ukrainian military officials stated that among the Russian mercenaries killed there are also individuals from African countries.
The 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade emphasized that any foreigner participating in the war on Russia’s side who does not surrender risks suffering the same fate.
