Two people were killed and 32 were wounded as a result of Russian strikes on the Kherson region

As a result of airstrikes, artillery shelling, and drone attacks by the Russian Federation on the Kherson region on July 9, 2026, two people were killed and 32 were injured. In the morning in Kherson, two employees of the Pension Fund were killed when an enemy drone struck their vehicle. 

In total, 28 people in the city were injured in drone attacks, including a teenager, medical workers, and a police officer. Four more people were injured in the village of Vysuntsi due to airstrikes; residential buildings and vehicles were also damaged.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

Russian forces struck Kharkiv and the surrounding region; four children were among those injured.
