General Staff: 79 combat engagements have occurred on the front lines since the start of the day
Since the start of the day, Russian troops have attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces 79 times. The heaviest fighting is taking place in the Kostiantynivka and Sloviansk sectors, as well as in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors.
In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors, the enemy carried out 11 attacks, six of which are still ongoing. Russian troops also launched dozens of artillery strikes on border areas of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions and deployed aircraft.
In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 15 attacks, and in the Kostiantynivka sector, 16. As of this evening, some of the fighting in these sectors of the front was still ongoing.
Clashes were also reported in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna, Kupiansk, Lyman, Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk, Oleksandrivka, Huliaipole, and Orikhiv sectors. The enemy did not conduct any offensive operations in the Dnipro sector.

As a reminder, on the night of July 8, strike drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a military airfield in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh Oblast, Russia.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces may have used new American missiles to strike a factory in Voronezh.
