In Russia, a company was fined for the first time for failing to meet its mobilization quota
In Russia, a company was held accountable for the first time for failing to meet its quota for recruiting employees into the mobilization reserve.
The Oktyabrsky District Court of Kirov fined the “LEPSE” Electrical Machinery Plant 50,000 rubles for failing to comply with a decision by the regional operational headquarters. In late December 2025, the plant was added to the list of strategic facilities due to the threat of drone attacks and was required to provide security for the facility using personnel from the mobilization reserve. However, by March 4, 2026, the company had not complied with this requirement and had not provided any information regarding its implementation.

Czech President Petr Pavel stated that the next two months could be decisive for the resumption of peace talks between Ukraine and Russia. According to him, following the parliamentary elections in Russia scheduled for September 20, Russian leader Vladimir Putin may announce a general mobilization, which would lead to an escalation of the war.
Rumors of a possible new wave of mobilization in the fall of 2026 are spreading more and more actively in the Russian media. Pro-war “Z-channels” claim that the Kremlin might allegedly take such a step after the elections to the Russian State Duma to compensate for losses on the front lines and strengthen the Russian army.
