Saratov Oil Refinery Shuts Down After Drone Attack — Reuters

Rosneft’s Saratov oil refinery halted oil processing following a drone attack on July 8. According to sources, the facility sustained damage that caused fires on its premises.

The plant shut down its sole crude oil primary processing unit, which has a capacity of 20,000 metric tons per day. According to preliminary estimates, repairs could take one to two weeks.

It is also reported that, starting Wednesday, the plant has suspended sales of petroleum products on the St. Petersburg Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.

According to the agency, in 2024, the Saratov Oil Refinery processed 5.8 million metric tons of crude oil, producing 1.2 million metric tons of gasoline, 1.9 million metric tons of diesel fuel, and 1 million metric tons of fuel oil.
