Russia reported that a Ukrainian drone attacked the car of a village head in the Belgorod Region
Authorities in the Belgorod Region of the Russian Federation claimed that a Ukrainian drone allegedly attacked the official vehicle of the head of the village of Ustinka. According to the Russian side, on July 10, the official and his driver were injured as a result of the strike.
According to the Russian authorities, the incident occurred in the Belgorod District. The victims allegedly sustained shrapnel wounds and acoustic trauma, after which they were transported to the Yasnozorensk outpatient clinic.
The Russian operational headquarters states that the condition of both victims is assessed as moderate.
As of the time of publication, the Ukrainian side had not commented on the Russian authorities’ statement.
Russian media reported this, citing the Belgorod Region Operational Headquarters.
As a reminder, the Ukrainian Defense Forces killed Russian serviceman Valery Badmazhapov, who, prior to participating in the war against Ukraine, was a freestyle wrestler and held the title of Candidate Master of Sports.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces also killed a medalist from the Russian Biathlon Championship.
