Russia attacked a team evacuating people in Druzhkivka with an FPV drone; there are injuries
In Druzhkivka, Donetsk Oblast, a Russian FPV drone attacked the “White Angels” police unit just as they were evacuating a man with limited mobility and his son. Three police officers and two civilians were injured in the attack, but all were rescued.
According to law enforcement officials, the enemy FPV drone struck just as the police were evacuating the man in a wheelchair and his son.
As a result of the attack, three police officers and both of the evacuated men sustained shrapnel wounds.
“We had only a few minutes to stop the bleeding and bandage our own wounds and those of the civilians, because a second drone was already closing in. Even while wounded, the ‘White Angels’ managed to save people and escape the line of fire. Everyone survived and is currently receiving treatment,” the police reported.
All the victims survived and are receiving treatment.
Law enforcement officials remind the public that Russian troops regularly strike peaceful cities and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, using attack drones, missiles, guided bombs, and multiple-launch rocket systems.
This was reported by the press service of the Donetsk Regional Police.
In the Kharkiv region, the mandatory evacuation zone for civilians is being expanded due to the threat of a deteriorating security situation. The decision was made by the Regional Defense Council, which included leaders of law enforcement agencies, rescue workers, military personnel, and district administrations.
