Russian commanders are submitting false reports about the alleged capture of Ukrainian settlements, which is leading to the disorganization of subsequent assault operations.
This was reported by Vladislav Voloshin, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces.
According to him, in the Orikhiv sector, the Russian command reported to higher headquarters that they had allegedly captured Lukyanivka and Magdalynivka, although this is not true.
Due to this false data, Russian artillery units received inaccurate information about the situation on the front, which disrupted coordination between assault groups and fire support.
Voloshin noted that when Russian assault troops request artillery support to strike Ukrainian positions, the artillery units rely on inaccurate maps, which is why such support is not provided.
According to him, this also complicates coordination with drone units and generally weakens the effectiveness of Russian attacks.
Russian forces have failed in their plans to capture major cities — ISW.
Total combat losses of Russian troops since the full-scale invasion, as of May 10, 2026, have reached approximately 1,341,110 personnel.
