Parts of Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv regions Left Without Power Due to Russian Attacks

As of the morning of March 12, Russian strikes on energy infrastructure have left some consumers in Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv regions without electricity. Restoration work is ongoing in the affected areas, the National Energy Company “Ukrenergo” reported on Facebook.

“Due to enemy attacks on energy facilities in frontline regions, some consumers in Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions remain without power this morning. Where security conditions allow, emergency restoration work is already underway. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore electricity to all subscribers as quickly as possible,” the company said.

As a result of previous mass attacks on the energy system, power restriction schedules are expected from 17:00 to 23:00 across all regions, including hourly outages for some consumer categories.

Electricity consumption as of 09:30 Thursday exceeded the previous day’s level by 2.3%. Ukrenergo recommends adjusting consumption according to weather conditions, for example, shifting the use of high-power appliances to the most efficient hours for solar power generation, between 11:00 and 16:00.

“During periods of forced hourly outages, please limit the use of high-power appliances and avoid turning on several such devices simultaneously,” the company added.

Earlier, on March 10, parts of Kyiv and Kyiv region experienced prolonged electricity outages as ordered by Ukrenergo. Some settlements in Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions also remain without power due to attacks on energy infrastructure.
