Power Outages Occur Following Russian Attacks: Which Regions Are Affected
Due to attacks on energy infrastructure, some settlements in the Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions currently remain without electricity.
Repair crews have already begun restoration work at an intensified pace.
The Ministry of Energy reports that the situation in the border regions remains tense due to constant threats of new strikes.
The top priority for specialists is to restore power as quickly as possible for all residential consumers and social facilities.
“Energy workers are operating at an intensified pace to restore electricity to all consumers as soon as possible,” the ministry stated in an official message.
Despite the complexity of the damage, all available resources have been mobilized for the prompt repair of the networks.
In addition to emergency outages in frontline areas, a number of other regions in Ukraine continue to experience planned restrictions.
These include hourly planned shutdowns for the population as well as power limits for large industrial enterprises.
The national company Ukrenergo urges citizens to use only verified information regarding the status of the networks.
“Up-to-date schedules are posted on the official resources of regional distribution system operators. Learn about changes in electricity supply on the pages of your local energy company,” the company emphasized.
It is worth recalling that Russian drones also attacked an industrial facility in the Poltava region.
Additionally, Russian forces carried out massive attacks on the border areas of the Chernihiv region.
