One person was killed and four were injured in Russian strikes on the Sumy region
One person has been killed and others injured in the Sumy region due to enemy shelling.
This was reported by Oleg Grigorov, head of the Sumy Regional State Administration, on his Telegram channel.
“Unfortunately, a 45-year-old man was killed while working in a field in the Krasnopil community. The man was struck by an enemy drone. His injuries were fatal,” Grigorov said.
Two women were injured as a result of mortar shelling in the Seredyna-Budsk community, and another as a result of a UAV attack in the Bilopil community. Medical personnel provided necessary assistance to the two injured women; they are receiving outpatient treatment. A 69-year-old woman sustained more serious injuries. She is currently under medical supervision.
A local resident was also injured in the Shostka community. The elderly woman reportedly stumbled upon an explosive device. She is being examined by medical personnel.
As a reminder, Ukrainian air defense successfully neutralized the vast majority of drones used by Russian forces to attack the country on Saturday, May 2.
Throughout May 2, Russian forces attacked Kherson and the surrounding region, resulting in two deaths and 18 injuries.
In Kherson, the Russians attacked a minibus twice, wounding the driver.
