Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremska reported that her apartment in Odesa was completely destroyed as a result of yet another Russian attack. Of all her personal belongings in the apartment, only a towel from Roland Garros survived.
The athlete also called on international tennis organizations to take note of the consequences of the Russian strikes, sharing photos of her destroyed home.
According to the tennis player, a Russian “Kalibr” missile destroyed her apartment in Odesa with a direct hit.
“Tonight. This is what the ‘Russian world’ looks like—a direct hit by a ‘Kalibr’ missile. A Russian missile destroyed our apartment in Odesa. The only thing that survived was a Roland Garros towel. It’s symbolic. A piece of world tennis survived the Russian missile. Our home did not,” Yastremska wrote.
The tennis player appealed to international organizations, urging them not to ignore the consequences of Russian aggression, and emphasized the symbolism of the fact that a towel from one of the world’s major tennis tournaments was among the few items that survived.
Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration, reported that emergency rescue operations in the damaged 25-story building have been completed.
During the search operations, rescuers discovered the body of one more person.
“During search and rescue operations in the high-rise building damaged by the enemy yesterday morning, rescuers discovered the body of one more person. Thus, the death toll from that attack has risen to two. Our sincere condolences go out to the families and loved ones of the victims. This is an irreparable loss. Another 26 people at that location were injured, including one child. Emergency rescue operations at the 25-story building have been completed,” Lysak stated.
Thus, two people were killed as a result of the attack, and another 26 were injured; among the injured was one child.
According to Lysak, Russian troops attacked Odesa again last night.
“But the enemy did not stop. Overnight, it attacked our city again. A high-rise building, private homes, a car, two educational institutions, and infrastructure facilities were damaged. The consequences of the attack are being assessed. The air raid alert remains in effect. Stay in safe places,” emphasized the head of the Odesa City Military Administration.
The consequences of the new nighttime attack are currently being assessed.

A 52-year-old man was killed and three other people were injured as a result of Russian attacks on the Chernihiv region.

The Russians also struck a passenger train at the Lutsk train station.
Overnight, the Russians fired Kalibr missiles at a high-rise building in Odesa.
