Ukrainian paratroopers storm Russian position in Kharkiv region, capture prisoners

Soldiers of the 77th Separate Airmobile Dnipro Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces stormed a Russian position in Bohuslavka, Kharkiv region. During the operation, four Russian soldiers surrendered.

This was reported by the 77th Brigade on Facebook, which also shared video footage of the assault.

“Paratroopers of the 2nd Airmobile Battalion of the 77th Separate Airmobile Dnipro Brigade, 7th Corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces, carried out decisive assault actions on one section of the front and entered the enemy position directly,” the statement said.

“During close-quarters combat, Ukrainian troops forced Russian occupiers to lay down their arms. As a result, four Russian servicemen were taken prisoner,” the military added. One Russian soldier who resisted was killed on the spot.

The 77th Brigade noted that the prisoners will be added to the exchange fund and serve as further evidence that Russian units are losing control even at their own positions.

Separately, Ukrainian forces detained a Russian agent who was planning to assassinate General Biletsky. Earlier, in Kyiv, a 21-year-old resident of Khmelnytskyi region was arrested for passing information about military units and a thermal power plant to Russia.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Security Service counterintelligence also arrested an FSB agent in Kharkiv. The collaborator was a 19-year-old local whose mother had been exposed by the SBU in January for organising a terrorist attack.

The SBU also prevented a contract killing of a Ukrainian reconnaissance soldier in Zaporizhzhia.
