Kindergartens in Sievierodonetsk have suspended operations

Kindergartens in Sievierodonetsk have suspended operations

All kindergartens in Severodonetsk have been temporarily closed. The decision was made by the city’s military administration due to the effects of hostilities and the lack of conditions necessary for the facilities to operate. The restriction will remain in effect for the duration of martial law or until a separate decision is made; the relevant order was signed by the head of the military administration, Yevheniia Boiko.

The Severodonetsk City Military Administration has decided to suspend the operation of all preschool education institutions, effectively putting the activities of nurseries and kindergartens on hold in a city where infrastructure has suffered significant damage due to hostilities. The decision was formalized by an order from the head of the MVA, Yevheniia Boiko, and will remain in effect for the duration of martial law or until further notice.

All local kindergartens—Nos. 10, 11, 12, 14, 19, 22, 24, 25, 26, 30, 37, 38, 41, 42, 43, and 45—have been affected by the suspension. Authorities explain that it is currently impossible to fully ensure the operation of these facilities due to destruction or a lack of infrastructure, as well as the overall dangerous situation and the absence of conditions necessary for the educational process.

Separately, the administration emphasizes that the decision is also intended to streamline labor relations and allow for more rational use of budget funds in a situation where the institutions are effectively unable to operate.

By August 31, 2026, the Department of Education must resolve issues with employees, make final payments, and make the appropriate entries in employment documents or electronic registries. Additionally, by August 1, the department is tasked with organizing the transfer of property and documentation from the kindergartens, conducting an inventory, and ensuring their preservation.

As a reminder, Russia attacked a substation in the Kramatorsk district with an FPV drone.

In the Zolochiv community of the Kharkiv region, a Russian drone attacked the Hryhorii Skovoroda National Literary and Memorial Museum.
