Drones attacked the strategic port of Taman in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation

On the night of July 30, drones attacked the port of Taman in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai. Following the strikes, large-scale fires broke out at one of the Russian Federation’s key logistics hubs; there are also reports of casualties and damage to port infrastructure.

According to the Southern Transport Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation, the attack took place at night.

“Today, July 30, 2026, a drone attack occurred at the port of Taman in the Krasnodar Krai. There are casualties, and damage to port infrastructure has been recorded,” the agency stated.

According to data from NASA’s FIRMS satellite system, at least 10 large fire hotspots were detected within the port area.

It is reported that thick black smoke from the strikes was visible even from the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea.

The Port of Taman is one of the most important logistics hubs in southern Russia. It serves as a transshipment point for various cargoes and facilitates the transport of goods to other regions.

In addition, due to its location, the port plays a key role in supplying petroleum products and goods to the temporarily occupied Crimea.

At this time, no official information has been released regarding the extent of the damage or the potential impact of the attack on the port’s operations.

On July 30, Robert Brovdi (“Madyar”), commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces, reported on new results of combat operations by Ukrainian units. 

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that a Russian export terminal and military facilities had been struck.
