Drones have once again attacked the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad Region
On the night of August 14, drones attacked Russia’s Leningrad Oblast. Damage was reported in the area of the port of Ust-Luga. The region’s governor, Alexander Drozdenco, provided details on the consequences of the attack.
According to local authorities, a total of 37 drones were reportedly shot down over the Leningrad Oblast that night. Russian authorities did not specify which facility in the Ust-Luga area was damaged, nor did they provide details on the extent of the damage.
Ust-Luga is a commercial seaport in northwestern Russia, in the Leningrad Oblast, on the coast of the Gulf of Finland in the Baltic Sea. The port is located approximately 70 km from St. Petersburg and has rail and road connections.
As a reminder, the Russians deliberately struck a passenger train in the Odesa region with a Shahed drone, resulting in fatalities.
The State Emergency Service and the Odesa Regional Military Administration released photographs of the locomotive damaged as a result of the Russian attack. The images show the condition of the train following the strike.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russian forces struck a passenger train in the Odesa region. According to him, there were 340 passengers on board at the time of the attack, and the train engineer and his assistant were killed.
