Two Hong Kong residents killed in Zaporizhzhia region
Two Hong Kong residents fighting on the side of the Ukrainian army died in the Zaporizhzhia region on 26 December. The city’s immigration department confirmed receiving appeals from their families.

The deceased men, aged 23 and 30, underwent short-term military training and served as part of mechanized infantry. This was their first combat mission. They had previously served in the French Foreign Legion.
Hong Kong’s Security Bureau has advised residents to completely avoid travel to Ukraine due to safety risks.
