Johnson visited the Zaporizhzhia region and spoke candidly about the situation on the front lines

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson made a two-day visit to the front lines in the Zaporizhzhia region to assess the situation in the combat zone firsthand.

This was reported by the Daily Mail.

While visiting the positions of the 65th Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the politician stated that the current level of support from international partners is critically insufficient.

The trip began for the guest with morning shelling of Zaporizhzhia, when a Russian “Shahed” struck a residential neighborhood, killing a civilian.

For the politician, this incident served as yet another confirmation of the constant terrorist threat that Ukrainians face every day.

In the frontline town of Kamyshevaya, Johnson familiarized himself with the realities of modern warfare, where enemy drones dominate the skies.

Military personnel explained to the politician that due to drone activity, any movement across open areas is deadly dangerous and must last only a few seconds.

The British journalist was particularly impressed by the ingenuity of Ukrainian defenders, who are forced to set up ammunition production on 3D printers in half-ruined buildings.

When asked about their needs, the fighters answered directly: the front lines need more explosives, equipment, and means to destroy the enemy.

“Ukrainians can win—and will win. But our procrastination and indecision continue to lead to immense human suffering,” Boris Johnson emphasized in his column for the Daily Mail.

The politician stressed that the war in Ukraine and the escalation in the Middle East are two fronts of a single global conflict.

He expressed outrage that the West has still not provided Ukraine with a sufficient number of long-range missiles to strike the aggressor’s airbases.

During his visit, Johnson met with the legendary drone pilot codenamed “Coconut,” who has eliminated over 400 invaders.

Boris Johnson visited Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in the Zaporizhzhia sector.

Despite the readiness of special forces, British military personnel are not intervening in the situation involving Russian tankers due to legal restrictions.
