In the Kharkiv region, Russians shot and killed four Ukrainian prisoners of war
The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine has opened a criminal investigation into yet another war crime committed by Russian servicemen.
According to the investigation, near the village of Veterinarne in the Kharkiv region, the invaders cynically killed four Ukrainian prisoners of war.
The tragic incident occurred on April 11, when units of the Russian Armed Forces advanced on the positions of one of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ separate mechanized brigades.
Russian troops took four Ukrainian defenders prisoner, but instead of sparing their lives, they carried out a massacre.
It has been established that the occupiers deliberately shot the unarmed soldiers with automatic weapons, which constitutes a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions.
“Under the procedural guidance of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” the office officially reported.
Currently, prosecutors are taking all necessary measures to thoroughly establish the circumstances of this atrocity.

On Tuesday morning, April 7, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a targeted terrorist attack against the civilian population of the city of Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The occupiers attacked Nikopol; a one-and-a-half-year-old child was among the wounded.
A Russian drone struck a civilian vehicle in Nikopol.
A drone strike on Nikopol has left several people injured, including a child.
