France condemned Russia's massive overnight strike on Ukrainian cities

The French government has strongly condemned the latest massive nighttime attack by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian cities, which took place on the night of June 2.

The French Foreign Ministry emphasized that targeted strikes against the civilian population constitute a gross violation of international law and reaffirmed its unwavering support for Kyiv.

A special statement from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the capital and cities in the eastern part of the country were targeted by the occupiers.

As a result of the enemy’s actions, extensive damage to residential buildings and a large number of casualties among the civilian population, particularly among children, have been reported.

According to the latest data, 12 people were killed in Dnipro due to overnight shelling; in Kyiv, 6 people were killed and about 80 were wounded; and in Kharkiv, the number of casualties exceeded 10 citizens.

French diplomats drew particular attention to the fact that the aggressor is deliberately ignoring any diplomatic avenues for resolving the conflict.

This latest act of terror demonstrates the Kremlin’s true intentions, which are to continue hostilities and destroy critical infrastructure.

“These massive strikes, directed against the population and civilian infrastructure, once again demonstrate Moscow’s total disregard for efforts to establish peace. Despite Ukraine’s repeated proposals for a lasting ceasefire, the Kremlin is stalling in order to continue its war of aggression,” the French Foreign Ministry emphasized.

Paris has officially classified the Russian army’s actions as war crimes that violate the principles of international humanitarian law.

The French side has pledged to make every effort on the international stage to ensure that the organizers and perpetrators of these attacks face just punishment.

“On this day of mourning, France expresses its deep solidarity with the Ukrainian people, extends its condolences to the families of the deceased, and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured. These new attacks will only strengthen our resolve to increase pressure on Russia,” Paris stated.
