In the Mykolaiv region, more than 300,000 customers were left without power due to attacks by the Russian Federation
On the morning of August 29, Russian troops once again attacked energy infrastructure in the Mykolaiv region using Shahed-type attack drones. The attack damaged energy facilities, leaving more than 300,000 customers without power.
According to Reshetilov, a number of sections of the power grid had to be shut down as an emergency measure due to the Russian attack.
“This morning, the enemy once again attacked the energy infrastructure of the Mykolaiv region with Shahed-type strike drones. We have damage to energy facilities in the region. A number of sections have been shut down as an emergency measure,” he wrote on Telegram.
Power outages occurred in Mykolaiv, as well as in communities in the Mykolaiv and Bashtanka districts.
According to preliminary information, more than 300,000 customers were left without power.
Similar attacks on the energy infrastructure of the Mykolaiv region have occurred before. In particular, on August 23, Russian drones damaged a power facility in the Voznesensk district of the region, leaving part of the district temporarily without power.
Currently, power company personnel and relevant services are working to address the consequences of the Russian strike.
“Energy workers and all relevant services are on the job. We are pooling all available forces and resources to address the consequences of the attack as quickly as possible and restore power to the people,” Reshetilov said.
The situation with the power supply remains fluid, and details regarding the extent of the damage may be updated.
