The frigate Admiral Makarov was hit at least twice
On the night of April 6, the flagship of the Russian Federation’s Black Sea Fleet, the frigate *Admiral Makarov*, was the target of a successful attack in the port of Novorossiysk.
According to OSINT analysts at Exilenova+, the Project 11356R ship was hit at least twice, as confirmed by a detailed analysis of satellite imagery and video footage from the scene.
The first strike hit the area near the pier, directly next to the 3S14 vertical launchers, which are designed to launch Kalibr cruise missiles.
Although the exact extent of the damage is currently difficult to determine, experts suggest that “most likely, the impact was limited to the blast wave without causing critical damage” to the launch tubes themselves.

The second hit was recorded in the bow section of the ship, specifically in the anchor and mooring area. Analysts consider this section to be of secondary technical importance, so it “will most likely not have a serious impact on the ship’s combat capability.”
However, the crew was on board at the time of the explosions, indicating likely casualties among personnel due to shrapnel and concussions.
In addition to damaging the frigate, the attack caused significant damage to Novorossiysk’s port infrastructure.
Satellite imagery shows damage to oil pipelines near berths No. 1 and No. 2, as well as a strike on a strategic valve node of the pipeline system, which could complicate the aggressor’s logistics for fuel and energy resources.
The frigate “Admiral Makarov” is one of the most modern ships in the occupying fleet and a regular carrier of missiles used to shell Ukrainian territory.
It is worth noting that the ship is commanded by a former Ukrainian military officer, a native of Vinnytsia region, war criminal, and collaborator with Russia, Captain 1st Rank Grigory Breyev.
The frigate Admiral Makarov sustained damage as a result of a nighttime attack by the SBU.
As a reminder, drones attacked the port of Novorossiysk and an oil terminal.
In the Krasnodar region, drones attacked a compressor station.
