The frigate Admiral Makarov sustained damage as a result of a nighttime attack by the SBS

On the night of April 6, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out a large-scale operation in the Black Sea, targeting strategic enemy facilities.

This was reported by Robert Brovdy, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF).

The main targets were the Russian frigate Admiral Makarov, which was in the port of Novorossiysk, and the floating drilling rig Sivash.

The operation to strike the frigate was carried out by fighters from the 1st Separate UAS Center in coordination with the Security Service of Ukraine. The “Admiral Makarov” carries “Kalibr” cruise missiles and is equipped with the “Shtil-1” anti-aircraft missile system.

Despite the crew’s attempts to repel the attack using air defense systems directly from the ship’s deck, Ukrainian drones managed to strike the vessel.

Concurrently with the attack on the ship, a strike was launched against the port of “Seskharis,” where a fire broke out following the strikes.

Local authorities in the aggressor country traditionally tried to conceal the consequences, claiming that debris had fallen. However, numerous monitoring channels recorded large-scale fires in the port area.

As a reminder, drones attacked the port of Novorossiysk and an oil terminal.

In the Krasnodar region, drones attacked a compressor station.
