The General Staff has identified the hottest spots on the front lines since the start of the day

Since the start of the day on June 5, the Russian occupation forces have carried out 55 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, concentrating their activity primarily on three sections of the front. 

In its report as of 4:00 p.m., the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the Sloviansk and Pokrovsk sectors remain the hottest, with the greatest enemy pressure recorded there. The enemy is also demonstrating high offensive intensity in the Huliaipole sector.

In parallel with these offensive operations, Russian troops continue to carry out massive artillery and air strikes on Ukraine’s border regions. Throughout the day, the towns of Sopych, Holyshivske, Ulanove, and Bachivsk in Sumy Oblast, as well as Lyady and Yasna Polyana in Chernihiv Oblast, came under artillery fire. In addition, the invaders used aircraft to strike areas near the villages of Ulanove and Tovstodubove in the Sumy region.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, Russian troops did not attempt to advance; instead, they dropped one guided aerial bomb and fired on Ukrainian positions and populated areas 22 times.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the Russian army made seven attempts to break through defenses in the areas of Izbytske, Starytsia, Vilcha, and Shevyakivka. Three combat engagements are ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled two enemy attempts to advance in the areas of Stavky and Dibrova.

In the Sloviansk sector, Russian forces made 13 attempts to advance near Zakitne, toward Rai-Oleksandrivka, Kryva Luka, and Riznykivka. One engagement is ongoing.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled seven attacks launched by the invaders near Ivanopil and Illinivka, in the direction of Kostiantynivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the start of the day, Russian troops have attempted 12 times to dislodge defenders from their positions in the areas of Kucherevy Yar, Vilne, Novy Donbas, Bilytske, Dorozhne, Novooleksandrivka, Serhiivka, Udachne, and Hryshyne. Two engagements are ongoing.

On the Oleksandrivka sector, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled two enemy attacks in the areas of Oleksandrohrad and Verbove.

On the Huliaipole front, defenders successfully repelled ten attacks by the Russian Federation’s army in the areas of Hirky and Novoselivka, toward Pryvilne, Rizdvyanka, and Kopaniv.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian defenders halted two attempts by Russian troops to advance in the areas of Kam’yanske and Plavni.

In the Kupiansk, Kramatorsk, and Dnipro sectors, the enemy has not yet attempted to advance today.

On other sectors of the front, the situation remains largely unchanged.

Ukrainian defenders continue to heroically hold the defenses of Kostiantynivka, demonstrating exceptional courage amid the extremely difficult conditions of life on the front lines.

Daily Russian strikes have nearly destroyed Kostiantynivka
