This facility is one of the three largest oil refineries in the Russian Federation, with a capacity of approximately 20–21 million tons of oil per year. The plant accounts for over 6% of the country’s total oil refining volume and produces fuel for the needs of the aggressor state’s armed forces. The Defense Forces have stated their intention to continue systematic measures to reduce the Russian Federation’s military-economic potential until the terrorist state completely abandons armed aggression.

Earlier, Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that following strikes on the “Primorsk” and “Ust-Luga” oil terminals in Russia’s Leningrad Oblast, the Kirish Oil Refinery was also hit.

As a reminder, on the night of September 14, 2025, Ukrainian drones had already attacked the Kirishsk Oil Refinery (KINEF) in Russia’s Leningrad Oblast.
