The General Staff confirmed that the Volgograd Oil Refinery and the aircraft factory in Yevpatoria, Russia, had been struck
On the night of July 31, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes against a number of key military and logistical facilities belonging to the Russian occupiers. The targets included the Volgograd oil refinery, an aircraft factory in the temporarily occupied city of Yevpatoria, the port of Taman, the “Pole-21” electronic warfare complex, an ammunition depot, and an enemy command post.
According to the General Staff, Ukrainian units struck the “Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka” oil refinery in Volgograd.
A direct hit on the plant’s premises was recorded, after which a fire broke out.
It is noted that this plant is one of the largest oil refineries in the Russian Federation, with a processing capacity of about 15 million metric tons of oil per year.
The facility produces automotive gasoline, diesel fuel, and jet fuel, which, according to the military, is used to meet the needs of the Russian army.
The extent of the damage is being assessed.
In addition, the Ukrainian military reported striking the “Pole-21” electronic warfare complex near Holubivka in the Luhansk region.
Strikes were also carried out on an ammunition depot near Naumivka in the temporarily occupied Crimea, and on a Russian military command post near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region.
According to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), in coordination with the Defense Forces, a strike was carried out on an aircraft factory in the temporarily occupied city of Yevpatoria.
Two hangars used to store aircraft and a production workshop were hit.
Port infrastructure in Taman was also targeted, where, according to preliminary reports, a large-scale fire has been recorded.

As a reminder, on the morning of July 31 in Nizhnekamsk, Russia (Republic of Tatarstan), local residents reported more than 30 explosions. Following this, a massive flare was observed on the grounds of one of the oil refineries. The circumstances of the incident and the possible causes of the fire are currently being investigated.
As a reminder, the Kerch Bridge in Crimea was closed twice due to explosions.
Also, following a drone attack, the Volgograd airport suspended operations, and fires broke out.
