Defense Forces eliminated 1,500 invaders and destroyed 69 artillery systems over the past 24 hours — General Staff
Over the past day, the Russian army lost another approximately 1,500 troops in the war against Ukraine. As of August 2, the total losses of Russian personnel since the start of the full-scale invasion have reached an estimated 1,449,120 people.
According to the General Staff, Ukrainian forces also destroyed 10 armored combat vehicles, 69 artillery systems, eight multiple-launch rocket systems, and two air defense systems over the past day.
In addition, the Russian army lost 1,788 operational-tactical-level drones, two cruise missiles, 11 ground-based robotic systems, 456 vehicles and tankers, as well as two units of specialized equipment.
In total, since the start of the full-scale war, according to estimates by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia has lost:
- 12,231 tanks;
- 25,070 armored combat vehicles;
- 47,196 artillery systems;
- 1,988 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS);
- 1,529 air defense systems;
- 439 aircraft;
- 354 helicopters;
- 439,291 operational-tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles;
- 5,007 cruise missiles;
- 34 ships and boats;
- two submarines;
- 128,953 vehicles and tanker trucks;
- 4,486 units of specialized equipment.
