General Staff: There have been 74 combat engagements on the front lines since the start of the day
Since the start of the day on July 11, Russian troops have attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces 74 times. The situation remains most tense in the Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, and Kostiantynivka sectors.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the occupiers carried out 18 assaults near Kucheriv Yar, Shakove, Sofiivka, Bilytske, Nikanorivka, Dorozhne, Novyi Donbas, Rodynske, Serhiivka, Kam’yanka, Kotlyne, Molodetske, Udachne, and Novopidhorodne. Three clashes are ongoing.
In the Sloviansk sector, 19 attacks were recorded in the areas of Kryva Luka, Zakitne, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Riznykivka. In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian forces made eight attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses near Ivanopil, Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, and Rusynyi Yar.
Fighting also continued in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna, Southern Slobozhanshchyna, Kupiansk, Lyman, Kramatorsk, Oleksandrivka, and Huliaipole sectors.
In addition, Russian troops continued to shell border areas in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions and carried out airstrikes on the city of Sumy.

Furthermore, on the night of July 8, strike drones of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a military airfield in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh Oblast, Russia. This airbase is home to aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which are used for both combat and training missions.
Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have reduced the strength of the Russian army by another 1,260 troops. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released updated data on enemy losses as of July 8, also reporting the destruction of a significant amount of enemy equipment.
