HeadHunter has posted a job opening for drone operators to protect Moscow — Reuters

HeadHunter, Russia’s largest job search service, has posted a job listing for drone operators to ensure security over Moscow.

This information caught the attention of Reuters journalists, who analyzed the recruitment terms for the volunteer unit “Combat Army Reserve.”

According to the job posting, recruits will become part of a special unit tasked with ensuring the security of the Russian capital.

Potential employees are promised access to state-of-the-art equipment designed to monitor and protect the urban environment from potential aerial threats.

“You will work with high-tech equipment designed to protect the urban environment,” the employer’s official announcement states.

The recruiters are trying to attract as many civilians as possible, without imposing strict requirements on candidates regarding military training or prior experience.

Applicants are required to have only minimal technical knowledge and a willingness to learn on the job.

This policy indicates the occupying authorities’ attempts to staff air defense units with drone operators as quickly as possible, even if the new recruits are poorly qualified.

As for financial terms, the employer offers a salary starting at 150,000 rubles, which is approximately $1,950 per month.

Reuters experts point out that this amount is quite low compared to the average income in Moscow itself, which consistently exceeds 200,000 rubles.

Reuters reports this.
