Another 33 Ukrainian children and teenagers have been returned from Russian-occupied territory
As part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, another 33 children and teenagers were rescued from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine last week.
Among those rescued were:
19-year-old Andriy, whose school was turned into a medical station by the occupiers, with military equipment stationed nearby. Because he refused to accept a Russian passport, the young man was repeatedly stopped on the street, taken in for interrogation, and threatened with criminal charges.
19-year-old Maria, who was forced to sing the Russian national anthem while in school and to install the Russian app MAX at work. She was also constantly exposed to propaganda, including calls to have children, who were portrayed as potential recruits for the Russian army in the future.
Maksym, 18, faced the systematic militarization of education. Russian military personnel regularly visited his school, urging teenagers to enlist in the Russian Armed Forces, and during classes, children were forced to learn how to disassemble weapons. Later, at the university, the young man was threatened with expulsion for refusing to vote for the “United Russia” party.
For these children and adolescents—and 30 others—the occupation is now behind them. They are currently undergoing reintegration at “Hope and Recovery” centers, where they receive psychological support, assistance with paperwork, a safe haven, and the care they need for a fresh start.

Ukraine has launched a new phase of its program to support industrial parks affected by Russian shelling. The government is allocating tens of millions of hryvnias for infrastructure restoration and industrial development.
According to Ukrainian authorities, approximately 8 million Ukrainians are currently abroad due to the war, and this is no longer just a humanitarian issue but also a strategic challenge for the country.
