The cardboard and paper mill in Obukhiv has suspended operations following a drone attack
The Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill in Obukhiv, Kyiv Oblast, has temporarily suspended operations following an attack by Russian drones.
This was reported by the company’s press service.
It is noted that for safety reasons and to address the consequences of the strike, production at the plant’s facilities had to be halted.
The company emphasizes that it manufactures exclusively consumer goods and has no connection to military infrastructure or defense contracts.
“The strike on the mill is an attack on civilian industry and the basic needs of the population,” the company emphasized.
They also warned that the forced shutdown could affect the stability of supplies of paper products, which are widely used in everyday life.
This includes, in particular, sanitary and hygiene products, paper, and corrugated packaging, including products under the “Obukhiv 65” and “Dyvo” brands.
The plant added that employee safety remains the top priority. Company management and relevant services are constantly monitoring the situation and hope to resume operations as soon as possible.
As a result of the massive drone attack on Odesa that occurred on March 28, the death toll has risen to four.
