Lavrov ruled out a ceasefire along the current front line
Russia refuses to agree to a ceasefire along the current line of contact in Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Moscow is allegedly willing to end the war only on the condition of a “long-term and sustainable settlement.”
“If we were to suddenly stop at the line of contact right now, we would, in essence, allow the heroic deeds of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers, who defeated Nazism, to be devalued. This is out of the question,” Lavrov said.
At the same time, he threatened to further intensify Russian strikes, stating that Russia allegedly intends to destroy everything that “fuels Kyiv’s war machine” from the West.
Lavrov also stated that Russia is allegedly not ready to “just stop,” despite calls for a ceasefire.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin claimed that Russians supposedly possess a “winner’s genetic code.”
Tokyo plans to consider countermeasures following Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s visit to one of the Kuril Islands. Japan considers the archipelago its own territory, which Russia also claims.
