“Leleka-100” receives powerful protection against enemy interceptor drones
Ukrainian reconnaissance drones Leleka-100, produced by DeViRo, have now been equipped with an innovative system designed to evade Russian interceptor drones.
This was reported by the outlet Militarnyi.
The technology significantly increases the survivability of the UAVs on the battlefield, where the threat from anti-aircraft drones is growing daily. The developers state that the system has already demonstrated high effectiveness in real combat conditions.
The system consists of an additional camera that scans the sky within a specific field of view and instantly detects approaching enemy drones.
Once a threat is identified, the aircraft automatically performs an evasive manoeuvre — a sharp change of course that allows it to avoid collision or interception.
The system’s name, “Snich”, highlights its ability to operate at night and in poor visibility, making the Leleka even more versatile.
The Leleka-100 is a compact reconnaissance UAV with a wingspan of 1.98 metres and a weight of up to 5.5 kg. It can remain airborne for up to 2.5 hours at a range of 50–100 km. The drone can withstand winds of up to 20 m/s, operate in electronic warfare environments, and adjust artillery fire in real time.
The upgrade with the protective camera does not affect the drone’s core performance characteristics but makes it indispensable for deep reconnaissance behind enemy lines.
