Massive Russian Attack: Air Defense Forces Shot Down 126 Targets

On the night of July 19, Russian forces launched a massive combined attack on Ukraine, deploying 166 air assets. The main target of the strike was Kyiv.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the enemy launched 41 missiles and 125 drones of various types. Specifically, Russia deployed 10 “Zircon” missiles, 25 “Iskander-M”/S-400 ballistic missiles, three “Onyx” missiles, three X-59/69 guided air-to-ground missiles, as well as Shahed, “Gerbera,” “Italmas,” and “Parodia” attack drones and “Banderol” loitering munitions.

Air forces, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups were deployed to repel the attack.

As of 08:30, air defense forces had neutralized 126 aerial targets—18 missiles and 108 drones.

At the same time, 23 missiles and 10 attack UAVs were recorded as having struck 20 locations, and debris from downed drones was found at 18 locations.

The Air Force noted that the attack continued even after the report was released, as enemy drones were still present in the airspace.

On the night of July 19, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv. One person was killed and eight others were injured as a result of the attack. Damage and fires were reported in five districts of the capital.

Over the course of July 17, Russian forces launched strikes on Kharkiv and 29 other settlements in the Kharkiv region. Two people were killed and 18 others were injured in the shelling; among the casualties were five children.

Throughout the day on July 17, the Chernihiv region came under attack from enemy drones. Fires broke out in several districts at once, but Ukrainian rescue workers have already extinguished them.
