An evacuation order for children has been issued in nine villages in the Zaporizhzhia District

In nine settlements in the Zaporizhzhia District of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, a decision was made to carry out the mandatory evacuation of children. This decision applies to families remaining in dangerous areas.

As noted, the mandatory evacuation of children will take place in two communities—Bilenky and Komyshuvakha.

  • from areas where combat operations may occur—from the villages of Bilenke, Bilenke Pershe, and Lysogirka in the Bilenke community;
  • from areas of active combat operations—from the villages of Novotroitske, Blakytne, Vesele, Zhovta Krucha, Novorozivka, and Slavne in the Komyshuvakha community.

Safety Measures

“The mandatory evacuation of children must be carried out within 30 days. Taking into account the operational situation and compliance with safety measures, no evacuation assembly point shall be established,” the document states.

It is reported that the gathering of children with their parents (one parent), other family members, relatives, or other legal guardians of the child—or, with their consent, unaccompanied or with other individuals—is to take place at the children’s places of residence, followed by their transfer to a transit center in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

This is stated in an excerpt from Order No. 49 of August 21 issued by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration.
