The Art Arsenal was damaged as a result of Russian shelling
On the night of Monday, June 15, the National Cultural, Art, and Museum Complex “Mystetskyi Arsenal” sustained damage as a result of heavy Russian shelling.
The Russian attack on the capital destroyed the historic building and caused a fire on the grounds of the cultural institution.
According to preliminary information from the institution’s press service, the fire on the complex’s grounds was caused by a hit from an enemy “Shahed”-type strike drone.
Emergency services arrived promptly at the scene of the incident and worked to mitigate the damage caused by the strike. The institution’s management confirmed that all employees were safe and unharmed during the enemy attack.
Currently, experts are determining the exact extent of the damage and assessing the overall impact on the historic building.
The cultural community is deeply shocked by yet another act of vandalism by the aggressor country. Representatives of the complex emphasize the deliberate destruction of Ukrainian identity.
This was reported by the museum’s press service on Facebook.
