The Ministry of Internal Affairs has deployed more than 1,500 specialists to address the aftermath of the shelling
Last night, the Ukrainian capital suffered the most devastating attack by Russian forces.
Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported that over 1,500 specialists have been deployed to address the aftermath of the attack, with nearly 600 working directly in Kyiv.
The most critical situation is currently in the Darnytskyi district of the city, where a large-scale search and rescue operation is underway.
Rescuers have already recovered the bodies of three deceased residents from under the rubble of a destroyed residential building.
At this time, more than 10 people are officially listed as missing.
To search for them, units have deployed six specialized K-9 teams, which are combing every meter of the damaged building.
The number of injured at this location has exceeded 30 people; they are receiving emergency medical care.
At the same time, thanks to the prompt actions of State Emergency Service personnel, 28 people who were trapped inside the building were rescued.
Police and State Emergency Service psychologists are working at the scene of the tragedy, providing support to the victims and relatives of the deceased.
Law enforcement officials have set up special reception points where more than 100 reports of property damage have already been filed.
For the convenience of citizens, mobile service centers of the Main Service Center and the Migration Service are operating near the shelling zone.
Citizens can quickly and free of charge deregister destroyed vehicles.
In addition, specialists are helping to replace documents lost as a result of the attack: ID cards, driver’s licenses, and vehicle registration certificates.
More than 20 people have already taken advantage of these services directly at the scene.
An 18-year-old Kyiv resident helped rescue people after the Russian attack
As a reminder, on the night of May 14, an air raid alert lasted nearly eight hours in Kyiv. In the Kyiv region, seven people were injured in the Russian attack, including a three-year-old child. In Kyiv, more than 30 people have been wounded following the massive shelling.
