In the Sea of Azov, Russians are complaining en masse about bites from unknown sea creatures

On the coast of the occupied Sea of Azov, tourists have begun complaining en masse of itching, redness, and rashes after swimming. According to preliminary data, the cause may be tiny marine crustaceans that have become more active due to the warming water.

Experts explain that these unpleasant symptoms often appear after leaving the water, as the tiny crustaceans can remain on damp skin or in the folds of swimwear.

Experts also note that in 2026, the surface waters of the Sea of Azov warmed up earlier than usual. This contributed to the migration of new species of marine life and changes in the local ecosystem.

As a reminder, the fuel shortage in Crimea has triggered a wave of mass layoffs and business closures.

Earlier, the Russian presidential administration sent special “recommendations” to state-run and pro-government media outlets regarding how exactly to report on the fuel shortage in the country.

Meanwhile, the fuel crisis is also intensifying in Russia: gasoline is running out at gas stations and lines are growing longer.
